Roboform has been awesome for so many years. They have always let users use the app for free but charged if you want to sync data. Now they have added horrible pop-up and banner ads that don’t go away as they claim they will after a period of time.

Can someone please take a look into this and see if a custom patch can be made to remove the ads? Running Lucy Patcher's Multi-patch doesn't seem to remove the ads. I’m not requesting a way to circumvent paying for their service. I just want to remove the nagware.

I found that if I block all internet access to this app using AFWall+, the pop-up in the first image still displays but the banner in the second image does not. I used the 'Log DNS Requests' function of AdAway and blacklisted all logged queries but the banner in the second image still displays if I remove Roboform from the AFWall+

Is there any other way to block the banner in the second image? I can live with the pop-up in the first image since I rarely access the Account menu in Roboform.

I'm not sure if Roboform needs access to internet or not to work....probably not.

You could also try to install modded Google Play ...

Thanks for the suggestions but without Internet access, the app is worthless.
I really want to avoid installing the modded version of the Play Store. Actually, I'm not sure the modded Play Store would stop the pop-ups anyway since you have to pay a yearly fee, not a one-time purchase for the app. If it were just a one-time purchase, I'd pay.

If it doesn't need access to the Internet,  try to download an app called DataEye.  With that app, you can block internet access to individual apps. And if an app doesn't have access to the Internet,  it can't download ads.

I love DataEye. Saves me a lot of data and cuts out almost all the ads when combined with AdBlock browser. I haven't seen an ad in months now, except for Youtube.

You could also try to install modded Google Play and try the ap purchase trick. That is you buy the upgraded ap, and you request a refund within 10-20 minutes. But modded Google Play will not uninstall your upgraded ap after you get the refund.
