What do you expect? Patching means changing already compiled binary code, so it change jumps, remove them fill registers etc...it is something like for example you try to remove or append some screws into running engine, maybe it improve something or break whole engine, and if there is check about how many screws there should be, and there is no exact count, it destroy itself. Some apps nowdays has checks to determine if they were patched or no, some kind of checksum so for this apps LP not work and never will. But many apps (older) don't have this checks and LP work like a charm agains them.
