is there a way to manually disable the proxy server (or reset all changes from the app)? The in-app option doesn't work for me the play store keeps crashing.

I've been getting this same error, and in my write up, figured out the solution.
This happens when you enable the proxy server by going through the 'Install Modded Play Store' and only selecting the Proxy option.
As a result, the 'proxy switch' (via direct in Toolbox, widget, and 'Set to Defaults') don't work. Reinstalling Lucky Patcher, Google Play, etc also don't work to fix this.
- To actually fix:
- -> Lucky Patcher
- -> Toolbox
- -> 'Install Modded Google Play Store'
- -> Select Original Google Play
- * Make sure you get the one relevant to your Android OS
- * Make sure 'Install Google Play as User App' is Unchecked.
- -> Install
After reboot, you should be able to hit the Google Play store again.
- The error message, for the sake of anyone else that gets stuck on this:
"This application is not Google Play. This is a proxy process to capture requests purchases and licenses.
For switching to the normal Google Play, go to Lucky Patcher, and turn off switcher 'Proxy Server for Google Play'"
